Transparency and Public Trust
Trust in law enforcement must be earned every day. I support expanding body camera use, improving communication with the public, and increasing transparency within the Sheriff’s Office. My goal is simple: professional policing the community can trust and deputies can be proud of.

Experienced Leadership
I have spent more than 12 years serving with the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, along with prior service in the United States Air Force Security Forces. My experience includes patrol supervision, investigations, SWAT operations, and K9 handling. I understand the realities deputies face because I continue to work alongside them every day.

Community Focused Policing
I believe strong communities and strong law enforcement go hand in hand. As Sheriff, I want deputies to be visible, approachable, and involved in the communities they serve. Building relationships through communication, local involvement, and proactive policing helps strengthen public safety across Brookings County.

Training and Preparedness
I believe deputies should have the training, equipment, and technology needed to safely and effectively serve the public. My commitment is to continue improving training opportunities, modernizing equipment, and ensuring our deputies are prepared for the challenges they face every day.
